What Is Considered High End Vaping?

I know this seems like an open ended question, but I figure I would post some clarification as to what constitutes as high end. I cannot tell you thru comments on youtube, facebook and every single person that vapes - how many times people have tried to correct me. All my years of vaping and buying some of the most expensive mods, rdas and rtas on the market I would give you a somewhat working list of what is high end and the requirements.

In order to be high end you must factor in a couple things. You may disagree with this, but this is the general consensus. No matter what if it is made in China, ITS NOT high end.

  • It has to be made outside of China
  • This is very subjective but anything usually over $100 for an RDA, $150 for an RTA, $300 for 3d printed mods, $500 for cheapest wood/acrylic/resin box mod.
  • It cannot be mass produced.

Now some of this can be negotiated, the last one - the GT3 for example has been mass produced but still falls in the high end category. If it is made in China nothing else matters, I understand that china has some high end machining; they do apple products but when it comes to vape products they are not high end.

This is a difficult question to answer, but I'll try.  I would break it down into 5 categories.

1.Materials and their quality.

2. The quality of the manufacturing processes.

3. The quality of the off-the-shelf components.

4. The quality of how well the components fit together.

5. The final over-all aesthetics.

Also important for me personally is that the modder is proud of his work and not afraid to show it, by that i mean that the modder shows his work in the FB group.
Hlias from MK Mods already did that years ago, videos of him soldering chips, hand finishing the mods or a video of the full CNC proces.
The Hussar guys they also show pictures and videos of them working in their small workshop with the 4-5 CNC's at work.
I like to see people working on the stuff i spend my hard earned money on, stuff like that matters to me and makes me open my wallet a bit faster 👌

I couldn’t agree more with this! If you made it, let me see you making it.

Materials that are used . def not made in China. And usually have to be on a list in a group  to get notified to get what you are looking for. And from what I’ve seen made in USA and made in Greece and other Europe countries.

I feel like China could have ended up with a decent amount of high end modders had it not been for chinas own hatred of vaping. It’s a shame when I know someone who tries his damned hardest to make good mech mods out of China and does solid work. But with how batshit China is there really won’t be any individuals who will take their passion and machine for the passion.

other than that. High End is. Difficult. But the overall pin that makes something high end is quality. You can have a limited run of a 900 dollar RTA but if the machining is crap, I wouldn’t say it’s high end. But a larger release of something that’s only hitting 100 because of shipping but the machining is impeccable and beautiful designed? I might be inclined to call it high end.
